The Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research in collaboration with the VW Foundation is organizing a 2-Day Annual Research Meeting on the theme “From Bench to the Bedside: Improving health care in Ghana and Beyond”.

The VW Foundation supports research in humanities and social sciences as well as science and technology and has supported the research on Buruli ulcer the Institute for the past 5 years.. The research meeting will bring together researchers, health practitioners and policymakers, and other health partners in the country and will provide a forum to share our findings to stakeholders and deliberate on on-going research activities and to get feedback that will improve work being done at the Institute.

The Organizing committee invites you to submit abstracts of your research papers, present your work, and actively participate in the 2 day meeting. This will be an important forum for presenting cutting-edge research and intellectual exchange on health science. We welcome submissions addressing a broad range of health sciences in the area of both communicable and non-communicable diseases. We encourage submissions on both basic and applied sciences health systems and operational research as well as interventional studies. 

The Abstract should have a maximum of 250 words structured as follows: Title, Authors/Affiliations, Background, Aims, Methods, Major findings and Conclusions. Authors should indicate whether they prefer oral or poster presentation with the name of the presenting Author clearly underlined.Abstract should be sent through e-mail to mofori@noguchi.ug.edu.gh or aasante-poku@noguchi.ug.edu.gh or gwemakor@chs.edu.gh in word document ONLY.

Closing date for submission of Abstract is 31st December, 2016.
Authors will be informed of the status by 15th January, 2017.
