The Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) on Wednesday 13th December, 2017 has held the festival of nine lessons and carols. The festivity was held in the Institute’s Conference room to mark this year’s Christmas Celebration and to welcome the new year, 2018.
The joyous celebrations afforded staff of the Institute and guest to dance and shake off stress and also thank God for taking us through the year. The birth of Jesus Christ was a resounding message at the event, as the nine departments and units took turns in reading different verses of the bible. The Noguchi Choir and the Viral melodies thrilled the audience with their beautiful voices. Also present for the occasion was the Immanuel Choir from the Presbyterian church of Ghana. They graced the occasion with melodious hymns.
